Always choose an STR-affiliated driving school!

Jarla Traffic School has long been affiliated to STR (Swedish Traffic Educators' National Association). STR is an organisation for companies that provide driving licence training. Choosing a driving school that is affiliated to STR is a security factor and you are guaranteed an educational and modern driving licence training. Jarla Trafikskola shares the same goal as STR: to educate safe and secure drivers in traffic!

As an STR-affiliated driving school, we always provide you with:

  • A personalised training plan tailored to you.
  • A price quote of what your driving licence training will cost.
  • A complaints board to which you can turn if the driving licence training does not correspond to what we have agreed.

When you take your driving test at Jarla Trafikskola, you can feel 100% safe! Our driving licence courses are approved by the Swedish Transport Agency and led by trained driving instructors. We have some of the most satisfied students in Stockholm and have been recommended by Reco for the fifth year in a row!

We have trainings for B driving licence, extended B licence, motorcycle and moped. Contact us and get your driving license at Stockholm's largest driving school!

To avoid retesting, driving lessons becomes increasingly important during covid-19

In order to comply with the Public Health Agency's advice and protect both customers and employees, Trafikverket can no longer have as many people in the test rooms as before. The number of people allowed in the waiting rooms is also limited, resulting in fewer driving tests being offered than normal.

If a retest is needed, the waiting time is expected to be even longer. It is therefore important to use this time to really educate yourself and make sure you give yourself every opportunity to pass the driving test on the first attempt. Kristina Hagberg, head of the Swedish Transport Administration's Driver Examination Department, recommends that if you practice driving privately, it is now particularly important to combine it with driving lessons at a driving school. This way you will find out exactly what is required, which will increase your chances of passing both the theory test and the driving test on the first attempt.

Jarla Trafikskola is Stockholm's largest traffic school and is located in 10 different places. You therefore have the opportunity to practice all the different traffic situations required to get a driving licence. Choose between intensive courses, effective training and traditional driving lessons. We have Stockholm's widest range of courses and training for driving licences so you can choose the time that suits you. Welcome to contact us!

Why you should choose an intensive course in Stockholm!

Today, some people choose to take an intensive course outside Stockholm in smaller towns with less traffic, believing that it is easier to pass the driving test there. The big difference in sparsely populated areas is the traffic environment as there is less traffic, signs and roundabouts. As a result, it is not possible to test all the skills that will ultimately make you a safe driver. Not having the chance to practice all the different driving skills simply makes you a worse driver. When you don't practise driving in heavy urban traffic such as lanes, lorries and roundabouts, you often become stressed and frightened, which is a danger on the road. It is also common for many people to choose to avoid urban driving as they simply feel they cannot cope. Then your driving licence won't give you the freedom you're looking for!

Choosing the cheaper option of getting a driving licence in smaller towns will be more expensive in the end. Becoming a safe driver is an investment for life! Sure, it's possible to save thousands of dollars on your driving licence, but not by cutting corners. It's through planning that you really save money! Our unique intensive course is led by some of the industry's most experienced instructors who will help you from start to finish. You always drive with another student, so you get the knowledge twice over: you get to practice by yourself while watching and learning from the other student. Research shows that the learning period is faster if you alternate both theory and practice. That's how you save money the right way!

For us, it's not about getting our students to pass their driving test in the fastest possible time. Our goal will ALWAYS be to educate safe drivers. At Jarla Trafikskola we give our students all the conditions to become safe drivers and pass the driving test and theory test on the first try!

How to help your teenager get a driving licence as a parent

At Jarla Driving School we have a long experience in helping students to get a driving licence. In Sweden, you can start practising driving at the age of 16, which is the perfect age for learning. Having a driving licence in hand when you enter the job market makes it easier to get your first job!

The goal as a parent should be to help your child become a safe driver! The number of young people involved in road crashes has risen by a whopping 42% since 1997. Young people are quick to absorb new knowledge but generally drive more carelessly than a more experienced driver. More and more people are trying to get a driving licence too quickly and cheaply, which means they fail several test drives before passing.

Here are some tips for you as a parent of a 16-year-old who wants to start practice driving:

  1. Combine driving lessons at traffic school with practice driving at home! Quantity training is important and the best results are achieved when you mix theory with practice!
  2. Walk a introductory training! It is a requirement to start private practice driving and you will learn how to best practice drive together. You will also find out how your private practice driving can best be combined with driving lessons from the driving school!
  3. Listen to your teenager! When you're 16, you want to grow up and show that you're no longer a child. When you listen to what they want to explain, they will be willing to listen to you when you teach!
  4. Make sure you have fun together when you practice driving! Everything is so much easier when you're having fun, and that goes for learning to drive too.
  5. Before you start driving privately, it is a good idea to have read the "Handled by" book published by the Swedish National Association of Driving Schools (STR). There you can read in a clear and simple way about how best to structure your practice driving!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at Jarlas Trafikskola. We offer both intensive courses and traditional driving lessons!
