AVOID UNNECESSARY WAITING TIMES
At Jarla Trafikskola we make sure to be a support throughout the whole process including compulsory elements, such as the theory test and the run-up. This way, you can, for example, take the theory test directly after you have completed your driving licence training. This saves you time and avoids unnecessary waiting times. If it turns out that you're not ready, we'll make sure to give you that information so that you can cancel well in advance and reschedule!

The theory test for driving licences consists of 70 questions. However, only 65 of them count towards the final result as five are test questions. You must answer at least 52 questions correctly to pass. The test lasts 50 minutes.
Adapted theory tests are available for those who have difficulty reading or writing, or if you are new to the Swedish language. Dyslexics can get an extended test time or take an oral test if they wish - whatever your needs, we'll make sure you get the conditions you need to succeed. The knowledge test is available in many languages other than Swedish, and those with special needs can take the test with an interpreter.
The theory test, or knowledge test as it is also known, measures your knowledge in five areas: vehicle knowledge and handling, environment, road safety, traffic rules and personal skills.
GOOD TO KNOW
The tests for qualification B (passenger car) should be considered as a single test containing two parts: knowledge test (theory test) and driving test. We at Jarla Trafikskola will book both tests for you at the same time, so you don't have to think about it. You always take the knowledge test before the driving test, even if your knowledge test was failed. Both the knowledge test and the driving test must be passed within the validity period (six months) for you to get your driving licence. If the validity period has expired, you must take both tests again.
Before taking your knowledge test and driving test for qualification B, you must have completed both parts of the compulsory risk training. Please note that if you need to cancel, reschedule or fail your knowledge test, Trafikverket will also automatically cancel your driving test. This is because the tests are combined.
ART PROSPECT
FOR THOSE WITH READING DIFFICULTIES
If you have reading difficulties, you can apply to take an adapted knowledge test. You will then have an extended test time during the theory test for your driving licence - the test time is increased by 50%. If you have very severe reading difficulties due to dyslexia or other disabilities, you can also take an oral test. This means that Trafikverket will ask you questions that you have to answer. For those who do not understand Swedish, it is also possible to take the theory test for B driving licence in another language. The knowledge test is then done in the same way as in Swedish, only with the difference that it is translated into the desired language. If you have reading difficulties and do not know Swedish, an interpreter can also be present during the oral test!
LEGITIMIZE YOURSELF
In order to take the theory test for a B licence, you must be able to prove your identity. So when you go to take the test, you need to bring a valid ID with a clear photo to show that you are you. Examples of valid ID are:
COME ON TIME
Before you take the theory test for a B licence, you must take a photograph at the Swedish Transport Administration's Driver Examination Centre. If you do not take a photograph on the spot, you cannot take the knowledge test. It is therefore important that you arrive in good time, about 30 minutes before the time of the knowledge test, so that you have time to do what you need to do.
