PROFESSIONAL DRIVER FOR GOODS TRANSPORT 2
Today, there is a great need for trained truck drivers in the transport sector, and this will increase in the future. Over the next ten years, it is estimated that the country's hauliers will need to employ nearly 50,000 new drivers. Therefore, if you are interested in training to drive a heavy goods vehicle, you are needed!
At Jarla Trafikskola we are proud to offer Komvux courses at our traffic school in Älvsjö. Basic knowledge
The course provides you with a basic knowledge of various transport vehicles and their engines. You will learn to drive both trucks and lorries and to load and unload different types of goods. The training consists of four parts:
In total, the programme comprises 800 credits. The length of the training varies from person to person and depends on how much support you need to achieve your goals. Usually the training lasts about 30 weeks.
APPLICATION
For those who already have a C licence, there is the possibility of completing a professional driver training course for lorries with heavy trailers. The aim of the training is to provide you with the knowledge you need to become a skilled truck driver who can handle goods safely on the road. Working as a lorry driver is an independent profession that places high demands on your ability to plan and organise your tasks. At the same time, it is a service profession that involves a lot of customer contact when loading and unloading goods.

When you submit your application, a check is carried out to ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements. If you are eligible for the course, you will be invited to an assessment of your skills. You will then be informed whether you have been admitted to the course. The course is eligible for student grants. You apply to CSN yourself.

1. Check your eligibility
In order to apply for the programme, you must meet a number of requirements. Among other things, you must ensure that you have a valid driving licence from the Swedish Transport Agency. Read more about the eligibility requirements here.
2. Submit your application
Once you have checked your eligibility, you are welcome to submit your application to Komvux. In connection with your application, they will check your eligibility to ensure that you meet the requirements for the programme.
3. Skills mapping & personal interview
If you have submitted a complete application, you will be invited to a skills assessment and a personal interview.
4. Admission notice
After completing the skills assessment and personal interview, you will be notified whether you have been admitted to the programme.
