Driving licence for heavy motorcycles
In order to get an A licence and start driving, you need to apply for a group 1 driving licence. At Jarla Trafikskola you can start driving lessons when you are 17 years and 6 months old. Here you can read more about how our motorbike training courses work. If you want to start driving privately and have no other motorcycle qualification, you can start driving when you are 23 years old. If you already have an A2 driving licence (for at least one year and 6 months) and want to take an A driving licence privately, you can start practice driving when you are 19 years and 6 months old.
A heavy motorcycle has a displacement of more than 125 cubic centimetres and a net power output of more than 11 kilowatts (14.9 hp). The ratio of net power to kerb weight also exceeds 0.1 kilowatt/kg. Heavy motorcycles may not be more than 260 centimetres wide including any load. These are the same rules as for passenger cars.
PRACTICE DRIVING MC
To be able to practice riding a heavy motorcycle privately, you need to have a supervisor. When you practice driving, the tutor must either drive himself or accompany you as a passenger. The supervisor may practice driving with one at a time and the supervisor's licence must always be present when you practice drive. The practice driving sign should be clearly visible to other road users!
Remember that when you take your A licence, you must practice riding a motorcycle with an engine larger than 595 cubic centimetres with a power of at least 50W. The motorcycle must also be capable of reaching 100km/h.

Road trip, fixed distance, 11 miles lasting about 3 hours.
UBK - training check. This training is only booked when the trainer
