SOLID EDUCATION

Nine steps to becoming a motorbike driver

  1. Driving licence: apply for a driving licence from the Swedish Transport Agency and attach a visual certificate. We will of course help you fill in the forms.

  2. Registration: Register with us and choose which traffic school you want to train at. Our motorcycle training courses are arranged at the schools in Bromma, Norrtälje and Älvsjö and at these locations we have maneuvering tracks. It is possible to split the lessons between the traffic schools - you do not have to choose one of them.

  3. Start lesson: The first step in the education process is a starter lesson. This is done to see which of the training options is best for you. After the initial lesson, we will develop an individual plan for you.

  4. Teori: Våra elever studerar gärna teorin parallellt med övningskörningen. Det underlättar eftersom den praktiska utbildningen går hand i hand med den teoretiska.

  5. driving lessons: The best way to learn to ride a motorcycle is with a trained instructor. All our instructors have extensive experience and are committed to giving our students the best possible education. The course consists of a total of 16 learning elements and we will of course take into account any prior knowledge.

  6. Risk training: after driving lessons it's time for Riceettan and risk second. We will book them for you. The risk series covers risks in traffic, such as fatigue, alcohol and drugs. The risk two is what most people recognise as the slippery slope.

  7. Training check: the last step is the theory and driving test. Before we book, our training supervisor conducts a check to ensure you are ready.

  8. Theoriprov: The structure of the motorcycle training differs from other driving licence training courses, as the student must have written a passing theory test before the driving test can be booked. The theory test consists of 70 questions and you have 50 minutes to answer.

  9. Driving test: the driving test consists of a safety check, a manoeuvring test and driving both inside and outside urban areas.

Test your skills with a starter lesson

At Jarla Driving School, we always start the training process with a starter lesson with one of our driving instructors. Our experience tells us that this is the best way to find out which of our training options suits you best.

Efter startlektionen tar vi fram en individuell plan, som ser olika ut beroende på vilken typ av kurs du väljer.

  • Individual training plan
  • Starter lesson included
A manoeuvre test in three parts

The motorcycle driving test is divided into several parts, one of which is the manoeuvring test, which consists of a low-speed track, a high-speed track and a braking test.

At Jarla Driving School, we take great care to prepare our students for the driving test. That's why we show you in advance what the tracks look like and explain how to manoeuvre your motorcycle. Preparation is the key to a successful test.

2 students - Learn from each other

When you have a motorcycle lesson, it is important that you arrive in good time. Before each lesson, you will be given the opportunity to borrow your motorcycle equipment and together with the teacher you will perform a security control and refuel the motorcycle. You will also have the opportunity to warm up and get comfortable with the clutch and feel the braking of the motorcycle. Each lesson starts with the teacher giving feedback on the previous lesson and going through the aim and structure of the day's lesson.

Jarla Traffic School has a unique concept of traffic lessons where you are always two students practicing driving with the teacher. When the other student is driving, you sit behind the teacher and listen to the feedback to the other student via the radio. You also feel how the teacher drives and you learn the correct way of driving faster. By alternating theory with practice, the learning phase is faster and the path to a driving licence is more cost-effective. Each driving lesson is 2 hours!

How to get a motorcycle driving licence

Through Jarla Trafikskola's MC driving licence courses, you will receive a thorough training through all the stages. It doesn't matter if you want an efficient intensive course for MC or traditional driving lessons - we are here for you.

To give you a quick insight into the structure of driving lessons with a motorcycle, we go through all the parts. We briefly summarize the theory, the risk first, risk second and practice driving in Bromma, Norrtälje or Älvsjö, as well as the different parts that are mandatory for those who want to get a motorcycle license.

Safe drivers are a top priority

Practice driving is the foundation of the driving license training. That's why we at Jarla Trafikskola are happy to offer our own driving yards for motorcycles at both our schools in Stockholm. Our dedicated teachers in Bromma, Norrtälje and Älvsjö all have the same goal: to train safe, secure drivers.

For those who want to influence the price of the motorcycle driving licence, a private tutor is recommended alongside the training at the driving school. We are happy to advise those who want to practice driving privately about the elements that require extra training.

Risk 1 course & Risk 2 course

The Risk Ethic, like the Risk Ethic, is based on the vision of zero injury or death on the road. At Jarla Traffic School, we take this goal very seriously.

The risk of MC cards lasts just over three hours and covers a number of safety issues.

After the first round it's time for risk assessment for MC. We can offer many times to increase flexibility for our students.

Anyone taking a motorcycle driving licence will have to retake the risk test, even if you have recently taken it for a car: the training is tailored specifically for motorcycles.

Learn the security check with the help of our video

During the security check for motorcycles, many points must be checked. In order to pass the motorcycle driving test, you need to be fully aware of all the elements: it is not possible to say in advance which elements will be tested.

At Jarla Trafikskola we have made a video where one of our experienced teachers shows you how to do a safety check for a motorcycle.

Take advantage of our theory material to pass the theory test

The motorcycle theory test contains 70 questions, with the answers to 65 of the questions counting towards the test result. The rest are test questions to develop the test.

Only when you have passed the theory test can we make an appointment for a driving test.

At Jarla Trafikskola we make sure you are ready for the test with theory material specially adapted for motorcycles.
