EARLY FOCUS ON THEORY
The theory test is designed to demonstrate that you are a safe motorcycle driver on the road through your theoretical knowledge. It is the same theory test for A1, A2 and A licences. The theory test is one of two parts of the driving test, which also consists of a driving test (driving up). For example, if you already have the A1 licence and want to take the A2 licence, all you have to do is pass the test!
PREPARE WELL
Before you can take the MC proficiency test, you need to have passed Risk training 1 and Risk training 2. At Jarla Trafikskola we make sure to be a support throughout the whole process including the compulsory elements, such as the theory test and the driving test. Before you take the test at the Swedish Transport Agency, you must show a valid ID and take a photograph. The photograph is compulsory even if you already have a motorcycle licence but are about to take a new qualification. It is therefore important that you arrive in good time!
FIVE AREAS INCLUDED
The MC theory test measures your knowledge of:
The knowledge test consists of 70 questions of which 5 are test questions. The results of the test questions are not counted in the test result. To pass the theory test, you must get 52 of the 65 questions correct. The test time is 50 minutes!
ADAPTED PROFICIENCY TEST
If you have reading difficulties, you can apply to take an adapted knowledge test. On adapted theory tests for MC, the test time is extended by 50%. You will also have the opportunity to listen to the test! If you have very severe reading difficulties (e.g. due to dyslexia or other disabilities), you can apply to take the test orally. An examiner from the Transport Agency will ask you questions and you will be asked to answer orally. If you need an interpreter, you can apply to take the MC theory test with an interpreter. If you need a sign language interpreter, Trafikverket can provide one!
YOU GET RESULTS IMMEDIATELY
You will be notified immediately after the test whether you have passed or failed. The result will be sent to your email and you can also see the result by logging in to the "Book Test" service on the Swedish Transport Administration's website. There you can also see how many of the different subjects you got right and what you might need to practise more on!
A passed theory test is valid for one year and if you have not passed a driving test before then, you will have to retake the theory test for a motorcycle.
